Description
CCN Bio STag™ Magnetic Beads are designed for the purification of proteins carrying STag™ or Twin STag™ affinity tags from a wide variety of expression systems, including mammalian cells, insect cells, yeast, and bacteria.
The STag™ affinity tag is a short peptide consisting of eight amino acids (WSHPQFEK) that generally has minimal impact on the structure and function of recombinant proteins, eliminating the need for tag removal in most applications. Twin STag™ is an enhanced version containing two tandem STag™ sequences connected by a linker, providing significantly higher binding affinity while maintaining the same gentle and rapid purification workflow.
CCN Bio STag™ Magnetic Beads utilize a proprietary engineered streptavidin-derived ligand (STarm™) covalently immobilized on highly cross-linked magnetic agarose beads. This design enables efficient affinity purification of STag™-tagged proteins under physiological conditions, preserving protein structure, activity, and protein-protein interactions.
